January 22, 2010
On June 25, 2009, the world lost its biggest superstar, Michael Jackson. Michael was born August 29, 1958 and I was born 15 months later. I grew up watching him grow up and become a superstar right before my eyes. He really knew how to sing, dance and grab an audience at a very young age. Even Dick Clark, American Bandstand emcee said, “I knew Michael as a child and watched him grow over the years. Of all the thousands of entertainers I have worked with, Michael was THE most outstanding. Many have tried and will try to copy him, but his talent will never be matched.” (Quote taken from the Michael Jackson Fan Club site)
For those of you who weren’t around when American Bandstand was around, it was a TV show that came on for an hour every Saturday for many years and introduced many, many artists into our lives, one of the groups being the Jackson 5 and then later Michael as a single performing artist. Dick Clark would have people in the audience get up and dance to the current songs of the times and then have some of those people rate the new songs as they were introduced to the world. It was a fun show and I looked forward to watching it every Saturday.
I, like most young kids it seemed back then, loved rock and roll and that was basically what I listened to in the beginning. Out of rock and roll came hard rock, heavy metal, disco, pop music, etc., and that’s where Michael comes in. I kept up with his career for a time, all along thinking what an incredibly good looking and sexy young man he had become. Then as time went on I began noticing he was wearing makeup and I didn’t know or understand why.
Sometime shortly after that I started listening to country music and before I knew it I was a die-hard country music fan. I no longer kept up with Michael’s career and I think that is why it was so easy for me, at first, to believe he could be guilty of such a horrible crime as child molestation. Plus, I never knew about his humanitarian acts. So, when Michael was accused in 1993 and then in 2003 for child molestation, I tended to fall into the web of the media and their negativity. I noticed they never brought up his humanitarian efforts during all that mess. My heart goes out to him.
When Michael died on June 25, 2009, that horrible, dreadful day, I decided to go on YouTube to see what all the fuss was about pertaining to his dancing (because I had forgotten) and I first pulled up his performance of Billie Jean during his 30th Anniversary Special at Madison Square Garden in 2001. I was completely blown away (I know my jaw dropped) and all of a sudden I felt terribly sad because I had missed out on his incredible dancing through the years.
Also, strangely enough a pang of guilt came over me and I cried for two solid months. (I work at home now and I am so glad I do because if I had cried like that at work, I probably would have been sent to the funny farm.) It felt like a spiritual scolding. Those of you who believe in God know what I’m talking about. It’s called chastisement.
I decided to do something with that, feeling like I was supposed to. I spent countless hours on the Internet and I purchased several books. One of the first books I bought was Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story written by J. Randy Taraborrelli. Now that is a GREAT read! Randy is an author of other books such as The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth and Call Her Miss Ross, to name a few, so you can see how he is an author about celebrities. From what I understand, he interviewed Michael on numerous occasions and also hung out with him from time to time. At the back of the book, Randy lists where he got a lot of his information besides just interviewing Michael. He really did his research. He explains SO much about Michael that by the time I finished reading the book I felt like I knew the man personally, like the back of my hand. I also feel like Michael and I would have been great friends had I ever had the opportunity to meet him.
On pages 537-540 of Mr. Taraborrelli’s book, he talks about LaToya’s live interview in Tel Aviv in 1993, stating that Michael was a pedophile. As you read further into the chapter, you discover that she was forced to say that from her then abusive husband, Jack, so they could make a half-million dollars on selling their story to tabloid magazines. In the last paragraph Randy wrote, “Years later, LaToya would insist that the allegations she’d made against Michael were all Jack’s fabrications, which she was made to repeat against her will. Though it would take a few years, by 2003 she and Michael had cleared the air between them and were, again, close. LaToya also apologized to the rest of her family members; they then all accepted her back into the fold.”
In Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story, Randy discusses the humiliating body search Michael had to endure to prove or disprove Jordan Chandler’s description of Michael’s genitalia about which he claimed Michael was circumcised. That body search proved Michael to be uncircumcised. That, in and of itself, should have told ALL OF US that Michael was NOT GUILTY!! You can read about it in Randy’s book on pages 534-537. (MJ’s autopsy report also reveals uncircumcision.)
Now picture yourself having to be body stripped and searched for false accusations!!
Consider purchasing Randy’s book. It is 713 pages long, but it is well worth reading.
The next book I purchased was Michael Jackson Conspiracy by Aphrodite Jones. She is a reporter who sat through each and every day of the trial, watching how it all went down and realized afterwards that Michael was completely innocent of child molestation. She was in shock. She had been a Michael basher. It took her some time, but she decided to write a book about what happened in the courtroom. She used her own daily notes plus made copies of the court transcript. There is a caption on the front of Aphrodite’s book from Mr. Thomas Mesereau, Michael’s own attorney, which reads, “To anyone who wants to learn what happened in the Michael Jackson courtroom, this is the book to read.” Mr. Mesereau fully believes Michael was not capable of child molestation. To quote Mr. Mesereau again, “In the Michael Jackson case, most media conclusions were shallow, misinformed, and self-serving. I know in my heart of hearts that Michael Jackson was not guilty of these grisly charges.” (Quote taken from the MJFC site.)
Ms. Jones reveals that during the 2005 trial the most harmful thing that hurt the Arvizo family’s case against Michael was that back on August 27, 1998 Janet (the mother of Gavin Arvizo) claimed that she was physically and sexually molested in a J. C. Penney parking lot by security guards. Upon further questioning by Mr. Mesereau of Ms. Arvizo about comments she had made on her deposition against J. C. Penney, she began to get flustered and admitted that there were some inaccuracies on what she had written on said deposition. “The more Janet admitted to inaccuracies, the more she stated that parts of her J. C. Penney deposition were untrue, the less people were listening to her.”
It was also discovered that Gavin and Star (Gavin’s brother) had given sworn depositions that they witnessed their mother being assaulted. (Star was the person who claimed he witnessed Michael touch his brother inappropriately.) “As Mesereau sorted through Janet’s J. C. Penney deposition, he was able to suggest that Janet had coached her kids about how to testify.” After Janet and her husband, David, had been arrested, fingerprinted and made bail, the West Covina police booking information from the incident “described Janet Ventura Arvizo as having no physical oddities, as needing no special medical attention.” “But some time after, Janet Arvizo showed up at an attorney’s office making claims of having been physically and sexually assaulted by J. C. Penney guards.” She offered photos of herself with bruises. However, it was discovered that David Arvizo was an abusive man and that Janet “had been granted multiple restraining orders against her former husband.” As questions were continually being asked, it became clear that “the Arvizos and their kids were in the habit of using lawyers.” “At an early age, Gavin had learned how to sue people for ‘damages.'”
I must add that this book not only clears Michael on the 2003 allegations, but also the 1993 allegations and the Martin Bashir mishap, revealing what was actually said and recorded during the show, Living with Michael Jackson. On the actual footage with Martin Bashir, one of the topics that is discussed is the “baby dangling” incident, with Michael insisting, “I was holding that baby strong and tight, and I know better.” He tells Bashir that he’s seen parents fling their kids up in the air and catch them. “I got caught up in the moment. I was holding on tight. And it happened for like, two seconds. But, when it gets on the news they slow it down. They make me look like this eccentric idiot dangling this baby over a balcony, like a nut. They don’t show you the whole story.” Sarcastically, Bashir asks Michael if he is actually “happy” that he dangled his baby over the balcony. “I’m not happy that I dangled the baby over the balcony, no. But I’m happy that I let the kids give a wave to him. I didn’t realize that he was over the balcony. You can make mistakes.”
After all, Michael was only human. Do you haters think it’s possible that you’re guilty of putting him on such a pedestal yourselves that you don’t think he should have made mistakes? I remember feeling that way.
Ms. Jones writes, regarding the DVD Living With Michael Jackson that everyone watched in the courtroom, “It was clear that the Berlin balcony scene happened because Michael had wanted to please his fans. There were thousands of people outside in a frenzy, hovering below his balcony, begging for Michael to show them his new infant son. When Michael went outside to the balcony, he quickly lifted up his infant so that fans could catch a glimpse.”
“For Jackson fans in the courtroom, it was disturbing to sit and watch Jackson’s innocent gesture in Berlin, as compared to the American media footage, which ran so many times over. The media showed the Jackson clip in a way that made him look crazy, always with nasty comments and rumors flying about Jackson having his children taken away from him. The media couldn’t get enough of Jackson’s ‘baby dangling,’ and they harped on his irresponsibility as a parent.”
“No wonder Jackson hated the media.”
When the “baby dangling” incident occurred, Martin Bashir was with Michael working on his documentary about MJ. Martin never mentions, neither does the media, the reason Michael was in Berlin that visit. He was there to receive the prestigious Bambi award for his work with homeless children in Berlin because Michael “gives them so much hope and courage, encouraging them to go forward in life.” Michael is also referred to as an “ambassador of humanity.” If you watch this video clip, towards the end you will see how Michael and Martin cut up with each other as if they were old friends, but then when Martin did the actual taping of the show, Living With Michael Jackson, Martin tore Michael to shreds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZnDWvgLZ3s
Please do not continue to be played like a puppet on a string by the media and believe Michael would intentionally harm a child. The media will print malicious lies because it pays the best. Come on. There is more proof in this book that the media was out to get Michael. I am challenging you to read Michael Jackson Conspiracy.
Now here is a clip regarding the “baby dangling” incident just so you can see for yourself how brief it really was. This is taken from Barbara Walters’ special last year titled, The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbik8bgG0JA
For the sake of comparison, in this video clip you can see how the media slowed down the taping of the “baby dangling” incident, like Michael talked about above, giving the illusion of him dangling the baby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32z8NhAwMN4
There is another book that was written called Redemption: The Truth Behind the Michael Jackson Child Molestation Allegations by Geraldine Hughes. She was the legal secretary for Attorney Barry Rothman who represented Evan Chandler, the father (of the first boy) who accused MJ of molesting his son, and witnessed how the two men set Michael up. I have just recently purchased, received and finished reading Redemption from Geraldine Hughes as of March 19, 2010. This book is another must read. It will totally convince you that Barry Rothman and Evan Chandler did indeed work together to frame Michael of child molestation.
Geraldine discusses how that before Jordan and Michael ever met, Jordan had come up with the movie idea of Robin Hood: Men In Tights – yes Jordan. Evan thought it was a great idea for a movie and cowrote it with Mel Brooks and David Shapiro. With the success of that movie, Evan decided writing screenplays was what he wanted to do with his life. He had been a dentist, but had been unhappy with that career choice. Sometime after Robin Hood: Men In Tights came out was when Jordan and Michael met. The two had become extremely close and Evan had become jealous of their friendship; however, that didn’t keep Evan from asking Michael to build an addition onto his home and when that didn’t pan out he had the audacity to ask Michael to buy him a bigger home.
In the meantime, Evan had come up with another idea for a movie, but with the second movie he wanted more of a controlling interest and that would require a substantial amount of money, Evan figured 20 million dollars. Because Evan was jealous of Jordan and Michael’s friendship and because Michael hadn’t given in to requests made by Evan before, Evan came up with the idea of accusing Michael of child molestation unless he gave him 20 million dollars. Evan then hired the meanest attorney he could find to go after Michael, Barry Rothman. If money was all Evan was after, an offer was made of 350,000 dollars, but Evan wouldn’t accept it saying that would not be enough. It was then that the world learned of the sexual molestation allegations.
What’s worse, Evan couldn’t get Jordan to admit to any wrongdoing by Michael so Evan put Jordan under Amytal Sodium, telling Jordan he needed to pull one of his teeth. (Remember Evan was a dentist.) A lot of people think Amytal Sodium is truth serum, but it’s NOT. People can be forced into believing something is true while under the influence of the drug. Evan kept forcing suggestions to Jordan about Michael touching him inappropriately until Jordan finally gave the faintest whisper of a “yes.” http://www.fmsfonline.org/truthserum.html
Frankly, I don’t understand how a person can do that to their own child.
Scheme: A devious plan; a plot. Schemer: Someone who contrives a plan or schemes. It’s obvious a person must have those character traits in order to just be a good script writer for movies. Evan’s Robin Hood was fairly successful, and he used those same character traits to scheme and plot against Michael.
The picture above is also linked to a story about Evan Chandler having bipolar disorder: http://vindicatemj.wordpress.com/2010/05/07/evan-chandler-was-a-psychiatric-case/
I wish to bring out some other valid points Geraldine makes. Back when this allegation first took place, I remember most everyone questioning Michael’s sexuality…as if it were any of our business. She pointed out that a lot of Christians make a vow of abstinence. They refrain from having sex until they are married. “They vow to remain unmarried and commit their life to do the work of God.” She does not claim that Michael made that vow, but he certainly devoted “his life to doing the work of God by helping underprivileged children around the world.” “Michael Jackson has always acknowledged and referenced God in his life. He has lived a modeled lifestyle of Godliness. His humanitarian acts and deeds tap into the very heart of God – to help someone in need, to feed the poor, to do for the least and to walk in humility. These characteristics are the very characteristics of Godliness.”
I, myself, say the same thing later in this blog.
Later in her book Geraldine states, “Two Grand Juries, which consisted of 24 peers in two counties, an extensive search of Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, Century City condo, his parent’s Encino home, and even Michael Jackson’s body search, interviews with over 200 men, women, boys and girls, and even traveling out of the country to interview witnesses, did not produce any evidence to support a criminal indictment for child molestation.”
Another beautiful point Geraldine makes, “With all of Michael Jackson’s notoriety, awards, millions of dollars, record breaking statistics and fans all over the world, he remains surprisingly humble, meek, unselfish, always caring for world unity, dying children, underprivileged children and reaching out to a hurting world. He never publicly broadcasted his humanitarian acts and deeds because of meekness and humility.”
On pages 171-175, Geraldine lists the charity work Michael was involved in through the years.
Geraldine also points out how that before the 1993 allegations, Michael led a squeaky-clean lifestyle. We had never heard anything bad about him up until that point. She also writes, “Michael Jackson’s humanitarian efforts started long before the child molestation allegations surfaced, and continued even through the most difficult time of his life. He did not allow his suffering and pain to interfere with his continued efforts to help hurting children all around the world.”
It is my wish that everyone purchase Michael’s Dangerous DVD. I bought my copy at Best Buy. On it you can watch a clip of Michael receiving a Grammy award in 1993 and also watch him talk about why he loved to be around children so much. He also talks about the reason for inner city crime, large-scale wars, terrorism and overcrowded prisons is because children have had their childhood stolen from them. He reveals his compassion for sick children. His eyes even tear up as he’s talking about it. It is real heartfelt emotion. Now keep in mind that 1993 was also the year the first accusations were made of child molestation. What we all thought was such a touching moment from Michael at the Grammys, months later became speculation as to what the real reason was he loved to be around children so much and all over a malicious lie – and the media was no help, still isn’t.
The YouTube video below is a must see…especially if you think Michael was capable of child molestation. This is so adorable! He discovers a bug on the stage and is concerned about stepping on it. He even calls Security to remove it from the stage. He also insists that the security guy doesn’t kill it. Now come on people, do you REALLY think he could be capable of molesting a child when he is so concerned about the welfare of a bug? If this doesn’t convince you, then all I can say is you must have blinders on and have a very hard heart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA7RDd7Grbk
Now I want to talk about Michael’s skin disorders, which were diagnosed in 1986. I really wanted to know why he was wearing makeup and I tried to find out first through all the countless magazine articles that came out about him right after his death, but I could not find one that mentioned anything about it so I searched the Internet trying to find websites that explained why and I was unsuccessful at first. I finally found one. The website doesn’t mention makeup necessarily, but after looking at the pictures on it I am convinced he had to wear it. Below is one of the pictures from the website below revealing Michael’s vitiligo. This picture was taken during the filming of his video, They Don’t Care About Us. I know a lot of you had heard or read about his vitiligo and may not have believed it to be true, but the picture below tells it all. http://floacist.wordpress.com/2007/06/10/vitiligo-photos-michael-jackson/
The pictures below reveal the infamous spider bite that a lot of us thought Michael was lying about. The second picture also shows his vitiligo really well:
Also Karen Faye, Michael Jackson’s makeup artist, is on a YouTube video explaining Michael’s use of makeup and that it was to hide the patches of vitiligo. Michael mentioned the disorder in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1993 and he even told Oprah that’s why he wore makeup. Oprah herself talked about how translucent his skin was during that interview when she did a special on him on September 16, 2009. With his skin being translucent and with the patches of vitiligo, he had to wear makeup. According to Randy Taraborrelli, he wore what is called pancake makeup and that made him extremely white so then he wore lipstick and eye shadow to add color to his face. I just recently looked up the possibility of people getting vitiligo on the lips and found out that can happen as well, so that could be another reason he wore lipstick. I can’t imagine him feeling comfortable having to wear it, but it seemed he had no choice. He somehow managed to pull it off, though, because he always looked amazing!!
Here is the video I mentioned above with Karen Faye. There are other people discussing Michael’s vitiligo as well. It is revealed in this clip that the one single glove Michael wore in the Billie Jean performances started because of the vitiligo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufqMSTYQy3g&feature=related
As you can see, Karen worked as Michael’s makeup artist for many years. I just recently watched a video where she said she met Mike way back in 1982. In doing the math, that is 27 years of service. Point being, besides MJ’s own family and dermatologist, no one knows more about Mike’s vitiligo than Karen. In this same video, she says she was asked to put makeup on Mike for his funeral…and she did. Now talk about sweet devotion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16yxYcgh7ko&feature=related
I am aware that a lot of you people out there think that Michael was trying to become a white man. He was NOT. I’m going to challenge you to do something. Picture yourself in Michael’s shoes as someone who traveled the world many times meeting millions of people, performing in concerts on stages with extremely bright lights and with cameramen filming you, paparazzi constantly following you around taking pictures of you and catching every skin flaw you have. Now imagine that skin flaw is vitiligo, your skin changing color dramatically and there’s nothing you can do about it, don’t you think you would use a bleaching cream to rush the process of vitiligo along, if you thought bleaching creams could do that, and wear makeup to conceal the changes that your skin is undergoing? I do NOT blame the man one bit and if I were in his shoes I certainly would have done the same.
Vitiligo is also the reason he often wore long sleeve shirts, hats and sunglasses, and walked around with an umbrella. Vitiligo can cause your skin to blister easily under direct sunlight and those blisters can become skin cancer. According to this link, he used bleaching creams to even out his skin tone: http://ezinearticles.com/?Vitiligo-Skin-Bleaching-Creams—Michael-Jacksons-Vitiligo-Skin-Bleaching-Treatments-Reviewed&id=2613184
Randy Taraborrelli writes, “According to The Handbook of Nonprescription Drugs, ‘As the sun’s ability to darken skin is much greater than that of Hydroquinone to lighten it, strict avoidance of sunlight is imperative. Although sunscreens may help, even visible light will cause some darkening. The preferable packaging of Hydroquinone is in small squeeze tubes. The dosage is a thin application of 2 percent concentration rubbed into affected areas twice daily. Once the desired benefit is achieved, Hydroquinone can be applied as often as needed to maintain depigmentation.’ Some have noted that Michael’s fingernails seemed brown and discolored on Martin Bashir’s 2003 documentary about him. One possible reason for this is that Hydroquinone stimulates pigment-producing cells in the nail plate, making them darker rather than lighter.”
Michael also had lupus. Whenever we saw him wear masks and saw him in a wheelchair occasionally and we laughed at him, his lupus was active during those times. I have a friend (Janette) who has a sister (JoAnne) who has lupus and Janette told me JoAnne is extremely weak whenever her lupus is acting up – that sometimes she is bedridden and/or hospitalized because of it. (I received permission from both ladies to use their names.) The reason for the masks is because when lupus is active the patient’s immune system shuts down and they are susceptible to germs and getting sick very easily. As we all know, sometimes Michael was around millions of people at one time so he had to be very careful. I never associated vitiligo with lupus, but as you will read in this link the two can go hand in hand: http://www.examiner.com/x-4763-Seattle-Healthy-Living-Examiner~y2009m6d28-Vitiligo-Lupus-and-Michael-Jackson
(It has just been brought to my attention, as of August 20, 2010, that the above website has been removed. It may be temporary.)
Randy Taraborrelli writes, “There are two variations of lupus: discoid, which is skin deep, and systemic, which can be deadly. As a part of the treatment for discoid, Michael’s doctor prescribed the skin lightening creams, Solaquin, Retin A and Benoquin. As a result, Michael was told that, more than ever, he had to avoid all sun exposure – which is one of the reasons he is often seen shielding himself with an umbrella on sunny days. Also, Michael had to endure the direct injections into his scalp of Hydroxychloroquin – a steroid – in painful recurring treatments.”
In the picture above, Michael is not wearing blush. It was around this time in his life that his dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, diagnosed MJ with lupus. Now, can’t you see why Michael had to wear blush? (It almost looks like he’s wearing it anyway.)
According to his autopsy report, Michael had tattooed eyeliner and lipstick. During the BAD era, you can see his tattooed eyeliner. Due to the lupus he was losing hair, including his eyelashes, which was the reason he wore the eyeliner and false eyelashes. Michael never talked about his lupus, but since a lot of people didn’t believe him when he said he had vitiligo why would he mention it? Besides, that was his decision to make. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/michael-jackson/6252204/Michael-Jackson-autopsy-reveals-tattooed-eyes-lips-and-scalp.html
A lot of people do not realize Michael was almost completely bald and he wore a wig(s). His autopsy report even says so. This link mentions Michael and his hair loss due to lupus: http://www.belgraviacentre.com/blog/new-lupus-treatment-may-help-with-hair-loss-208/
I’m sure you all remember the infamous Pepsi commercial in 1984 where Michael’s scalp received second and third-degree burns. Of course he lost some hair then, but the lupus took care of most of the rest of it.
I now wish to talk about MJ’s plastic surgeries. According to Randy Taraborrelli, his dad called him Big Nose as he was growing up and what’s worse, his dad would sometimes tell him he was ugly at the same time he was “disciplining” him. I believe that became a psychological issue with Michael, making him think he was getting “disciplined” for being ugly. He even said he was constantly trying to make his dad love him – by perfecting his performances and “perfecting” his looks, looks that never needed perfecting, but that’s apparently not how MJ perceived himself. I read once where someone said he had plastic surgeries because he was vain. I don’t believe he was vain at all or he wouldn’t have been trying to “improve” his looks. Put yourself in Michael’s shoes.
Due to Michael having a lot of plastic surgeries, it was rumored that his nose was falling off. Utterly ridiculous!! I have read MJ’s autopsy report and it does not mention a detachable nose!!
In a video titled Michael Jackson: The Trial and Triumph of the King of Pop, there is a plastic surgeon discussing MJ’s many plastic surgeries. He said in Michael’s defense that his plastic surgeons would present the surgeries to him as touch-ups, that they were not surgeries when in fact they were.
Some people believe or assume that the abused abuse; not necessarily so. Somebody along the way can stop it and here is Michael’s take on the subject: “I always said if I ever have kids I will never behave like this way. I won’t touch a hair on their heads. Because people always say the abused abuse and it is not true. It is not true. I am totally the opposite. The worst I do is I make them stand in the corner for a little bit and that’s it and that’s my time out for them.” (Quoted from the book, The Michael Jackson Tapes)
I want to touch on Michael’s pajama day in court. He was not trying to be disrespectful. He had hurt his back that morning and had gone to a hospital to get it seen about. When Thomas Mesereau (Mike’s attorney) told the judge what was going on with MJ, the judge told Mr. Mesereau he wanted Michael in that courtroom in 45 minutes or he was going to put him in jail or yank bail, so Mr. Mesereau told Mike to get to the courtroom right away even though Mike wanted to go home and change. Mr. Mesereau takes full responsibility for that. Check it out: http://mjtruthnow.com/2010/01/pajama-day/
A lot of people think Michael’s addiction to painkillers started during the Pepsi incident (1984); however, according to Karen Faye, Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins (in the second video above featuring Karen Faye), they say it started nine years later (1993) when MJ had just undergone one of the many surgeries on his scalp in order to help the scarring from the burn. He had not had time to heal from that surgery and was about to perform in front of 80,000 people in Bangkok for his Dangerous tour so that was when he started taking the painkillers. It was also just before that performance that Michael heard he was being accused of child molestation here in the States, so then there was not only physical pain, but emotional pain as well.
With all of Michael’s emotional problems beginning since childhood and then throughout life with the accusations, his medical problems, multiple plastic surgeries, which included his scalp, and scalp injections, I can completely understand the addiction to painkillers. Can’t you?
The picture below was drawn by Michael himself and the words are lyrics to the chorus of his song, Have You Seen My Childhood?
Even though he went through all of the above-mentioned trials in his life, it’s amazing how he still gave us his all, making each and every performance bigger and better, for his fans, and going on to be known as the King of Pop.
Let’s talk about all the good Michael Jackson did. Did you know that he:
Gave money to 39 different charities (mainly children’s charities) through the years from the proceeds of each and every concert he performed, including the HIStory tour where he gave ALL his proceeds to charities, and that Michael is mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records for the performer who gave the most money to charities in history AND that even in death 20 percent of his proceeds, THROUGHOUT TIME AS WE KNOW IT AND BEYOND, will go to children’s charities? http://www.allmichaeljackson.com/charities.html
Gave all his money he got from the burn to his scalp from the Pepsi commercial to the burn ward at Brotman Medical Center where he was taken and they named the burn ward after him – The Michael Jackson Burn Center?
That even though Michael was still suffering from the burns to his scalp in the hospital, he would visit the other burn patients?
Took time before each and every concert, anywhere he went, to visit children’s hospitals and/or orphanages, visited with each child and took them gifts? To quote MJ from his autobiography, Moonwalk, “I spend a lot of free time – in California and when I’m traveling – visiting children’s hospitals. It makes me so happy to be able to brighten those kids’ day by just showing up and talking with them, listening to what they have to say and making them feel better. It’s so sad for children to have to get sick. More than anyone else, kids don’t deserve that. They often can’t even understand what’s wrong with them. It makes my heart twist. When I’m with them, I just want to hug them and make it all better for them. Sometimes sick children will visit me at home or in my hotel rooms on the road. A parent will get in touch with me and ask if their child can visit with me for a few minutes. Sometimes when I’m with them I feel like I understand better what my mother must have gone through with her polio. Life is too precious and too short not to reach out and touch the people we can.”
Told some children at one orphanage that if the conditions were not better there within 24 hours he would not get on stage and that within 24 hours the conditions were better with new beds, fresh sheets on the beds, additional staff, etc.? http://www.mjfanclub.net/home/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2525:kenny-ortega-talks-about-mjs-big-heart&catid=85:latest-news&Itemid=82
Would give concert tickets to underprivileged children by the stage?
In the 1990s created the Heal The World foundation to help children everywhere across the world with whatever needs they may have and also created the foundation in an attempt to heal the planet from the mess we’ve created?
Came across a little boy at a children’s hospital named Bela Farkas with a diseased liver and that that little boy would have died if a new liver was not found for him, so Michael got his foundation to locate Bela a new liver? And did you know that Michael also paid for Bela’s surgery?
Became friends with a young man named Ryan White who had AIDS at a time when AIDS was very misunderstood and when Ryan died Michael appeared at his funeral? Did you know that Michael wrote and dedicated his song Gone Too Soon, a very beautiful and moving song, to Ryan? Did you also know that Michael had purchased Ryan a red Ford Mustang?
Not only participated in the huge event of We Are The World, but also wrote the song along with Lionel Richie, a song that raised over 63 million dollars for starving people in Ethiopia? Did you also know that from that event the Hands Across America event took place “in which approximately seven million people held hands in a human chain for 15 minutes along a path across the continental United States, participants paying $10.00 to reserve their place in line?” (Quote is taken from Wikipedia.)
“After 9/11, Jackson helped organize the United We Stand: What More Can I Give benefit concert at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. The concert took place on October 21, 2001, and included performances from dozens of major artists, including Jackson, who performed his song ‘What More Can I Give’ as the finale.” (Quoted from Wikipedia) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7baeBy7E-w
Was helping children in war-torn countries deal with living in war-torn countries through his Heal The World foundation?
“We share his concern for the children who have been innocent victims of war and, who have suffered because of the horrors of war, many of whom are without families, food or homes. We applaud Michael for his sensitivity and efforts.” BoyzIIMen (Quote is taken from the MJFC site.)
The picture below is from a film clip during the making of Michael’s video, Heal The World.
“I will never stop helping and loving people the way Jesus said to.” ~ Michael Jackson
Now come on folks, do any of the above humanitarian acts describe a pedophile? I think NOT! Humanitarianism is a show of “kindness and sympathy extended universally and impartially to all human beings.” Now THAT describes Michael Jackson to me!
What have any of us done for children across the nation? Michael took on huge responsibilities by doing all he did, but he did them. He saw the needs and he met them. How is it that such sweet acts by such a kind and loving man be twisted into something so horrible? Why is it that it was so easy, and still so easy for some people, to forget about all the good he did for children and rather listen to false accusations and the media garbage? Why? Because the media filled our minds with nothing but negativity where MJ was concerned. Like I said earlier, they never mentioned his humanitarian work. They brainwashed us because lying makes a story more interesting and it pays better money.
This is a great time to mention the FBI files that revealed NOTHING against Michael through 17 years of investigations. He came shining through “like a comet blazing ‘cross the evening sky.” (Quoted from MJ’s song, Gone Too Soon.) http://foia.fbi.gov/foiaindex/jackson_michael.htm
To touch further on this, even though MJ would have liked to be in a relationship all along (see below), I don’t believe that was his main priority in life. I believe God placed in his heart a much stronger desire to help children and to heal the planet, and that Mike used his God-given ability to grab an audience by song and dance in order to move us through powerful messages in songs like Black or White, Heal The World, Man In The Mirror and Earth Song. I believe God put him here to be our modern day angel. How else did Michael grow to have such strong love and compassion for children, especially for children who are suffering?
This is a quote from Michael from his book, Moonwalk, published in 1988, long before the first allegations in 1993: “I believe in love – very much so – how can you not believe after you’ve experienced it? I believe in relationships. One day I know I’ll find the right woman and get married myself. I often look forward to having children; in fact, it would be nice to have a big family, since I come from such a large one myself. In my fantasy about having a large family, I imagine myself with 13 children.”
Here are two quotes from Mike from his autobiography where he gives God credit for his singing and dancing abilities:
“My mother knew her polio was not a curse but a test that God gave her to triumph over, and she instilled in me a love of Him that I will always have. She taught me that my talent for singing and dancing was as much God’s work as a beautiful sunset or a storm that left snow for children to play in.”
“I’ve always joked that I didn’t ask to sing and dance, but it’s true. When I open my mouth, music comes out. I’m honored that I have this ability. I thank God for it every day. I try to cultivate what He gave me. I feel I’m compelled to do what I do.”
“When Michael Jackson sings it is with the voice of angels, and when his feet move, you can see God dancing.” Bob Geldof (Quote is taken from the MJFC site.)
“When God was giving out talent, He gave all of it to Michael Jackson.” Babyface (Quote is taken from the MJFC site.)
“He’s incredible. He’s a genius. Just to be in the same room [with him], I felt everything I wanted to accomplish in life has been achieved… That aura… that’s incredible that aura is…” Akon (Partial quote taken from the MJFC site)
My beautiful 18-year-old daughter said something to me recently that really touched my heart and I want to share it. She told me that God would not have given the kinds of gifts He gave to Michael, the strong compassion to help children like he did and to perform songs with such powerful messages as in Heal The World and Man In The Mirror, if Michael were a child molester. Now isn’t that beautiful? And what a strong point to make! God bless you sweetie!
Here’s a statistic for you: 90%of sexual molestation accusations are false. (I got this information off of the video, Michael Jackson: The Trial and Triumph of the King of Pop.)
I have another thought for you people to ponder. Michael Jackson hung out with lots of credible people, including Elizabeth Taylor who was dearest to his heart, Liza Minnelli, Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Brooke Shields, Gregory Peck, Chris Tucker, George Lopez, Macaulay Culkin (the latter three taking the stand and defending him during the 2005 molestation trial), Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and so many, many more and NONE of those people believed he could have molested children. ALL of those people still speak highly of Michael. He was also great friends with Princess Diana! As a matter of fact, Barry Gibb of The BeeGees and Miko Brando (Marlon Brando’s son) made Mike godfather of their children. I hardly believe they would have done that had they believed he was a pedophile.
“Everything about Michael is truthful. And there is something in him that is so dear and childlike – not childish, but childlike – that we both have and identify with.” Elizabeth Taylor (Quote is taken from the MJFC site.)
Michael’s childlike mind, heart and spirit is another point in fact that he wouldn’t have been a pedophile. When you get a chance, go to YouTube and bring up Michael Jackson Private Home Movies and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. Another way of looking at it is, Michael’s childlike mind, heart and spirit is why he continued to have such love and compassion for children…always.
“I love to do things for children and I try to imitate Jesus. I’m not saying I am Jesus. I’m trying to imitate Jesus in the fact that he said to be like children, to love children, to be as pure as children are and to make yourself as innocent.” ~ Michael Jackson on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1993.
On the same show Oprah asked Michael, “What do you want the world to know about you most?” He said, “To be a great artist. I love what I do and I would love people to love what I do and to be loved. I just simply want to be loved wherever I go, all over the world, because I love people of all races, from my heart, with true affection.”
“Michael is a generous, honest, and sensitive human being, filled with amazing insight and the capacity for love. If this is weird, I want to go live on another planet.” Karen Faye (Quote is taken from the MJFC site.)
For those of you who believe Michael paid off the jury in the 2005 trial, here are parts one and two of an interview between Jay Leno and Thomas Mesereau (Mike’s attorney) on Jay’s The Tonight Show where Mr. Mesereau openly vindicates Michael personally after said trial:
A while back I watched a video on YouTube where Michael’s parents are talking about the fact that when Michael was young he and his mother were watching TV one time and a commercial came on regarding starving children from across the world, and a foundation was asking for donations. Big tears rolled down Michael’s face and he told his mother that one day he was going to help those children…and he did…and still does…even in death. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32z8NhAwMN4
Here are the transcripts of the 2005 trial. They are broken down into each individual’s testimony such as Chris Tucker and Macaulay Culkin’s testimonies, etc. Also, please pay attention to the videos on the right side of the page: http://deargavinarvizo.com/2009/11/the-transcripts/
Now come on folks. It is time for ALL of us to open our minds and our hearts where Michael is concerned. He was not such a weird man after all.
Keep this in mind: Not everything is black and white and there are always two sides to every story. Unfortunately, we never gave Michael much of a chance to tell his.
After reading all of this, to those of you who are still bent on believing Michael molested children, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone” at him. John 8:7 [New International Version]
Also, to those of you who are on the Internet attacking Michael in one way, shape or form, please reconsider as there are three people that could be affected:
“Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say that I love him. So much” ~ Paris Katherine Michael Jackson, July 7, 2009 (Michael’s Memorial)
I dedicate this blog to Michael Joseph Jackson who loved the world and everyone in it, who gave of himself body and soul, not only in his music and dance, but also in love, kindness and compassion like no other entertainer before him, and continues to give even in death. I wish I would have known you in this lifetime, Michael, but I’m not going to dwell on that…’til we meet in Heaven!
